Crisis Support Specialist

Salary Range: $31,200.00 - $37,440.00 Per Year
Work Schedule: Monday - Friday 3:00 PM - 11:30 PM

PURPOSE:

The Crisis Support Specialist will provide administrative support and provide monitoring and assistance for consumers of the assigned program(s.)

TASKS

  1. Complete LMHA letters with appropriate recommendations for contract beds for all individuals without funding being transferred to an ER/contract bed from CCC. Individual would assist the clinical decision-makers as to contract bed appropriateness. 
  2. Input client names and demographic information into bed queue in “real time” and manage queue to adjust for appropriate priority levels based on legal status and acuity. 
  3. Dispatch calls from crisisline to appropriate MCOT staff to ensure that referrals are evenly and appropriately distributed to ensure timeliness of response by MCOT. 
  4. Act as point of contact for SAPD in regards to diverting EDs to appropriate locations based on acuity, medical concerns, etc. The goal being to direct as many EDs as possible to CCC. Also contact appropriate MCOT staff should SAPD/BCSO officers request assistance with mental health concerns. 
  5. Must maintain required credentials and mandatory training requirements to ensure compliance with all State regulations and CHCS policies
  6. Must maintain a valid driver’s license and automobile insurance coverage, be able to travel as needed, and be able to meet on a consistent basis the driving record requirements of the Company’s auto insurance carrier if you drive your vehicle during company business 
  7. Other duties as assigned

 

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS 

  1. High School Diploma or GED 
  2. Two to three (2 – 3) years’ of clerical experience 
  3. Proficiency with standard Microsoft Office applications and system databases
  4. Experience with word processing and data entry operations 
  5. Must maintain required credentials and mandatory training requirements to ensure compliance with all State regulations and CHCS policies
  6. Must maintain a valid driver’s license and automobile insurance coverage, be able to travel as needed, and be able to meet on a consistent basis the driving record requirements of the Company’s auto insurance carrier if you drive your vehicle during company business
  7. Must be able to meet the physical requirements to complete SAMA and CPR training including lifting up to 12 lbs. and supporting up to 55 lbs.; bending, stooping and getting on and off the floor without assistance.
  8. Must have adequate mobility that requires frequent walking, standing, bending, stooping, kneeling, reaching (vertical and horizontal), using fingers, hands, feet, legs and torso in various care. The employee must be able to regularly lift and/or move up to 40 pounds and occasionally must lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. The employee must be able to occasionally transfer a consumer.

       1. Bilingual (English/Spanish)

       2. Knowledge of community referral systems

Compensation Package

 

Salary Range: $31,200.00 – $37,440.00 Per Year
