Quality Assurance Administrator - LPC, LCSW, LMFT

Location: San Antonio, TX
Work Schedule: M-F: 8:30 a.m. - 5:30 p.m.

PURPOSE 

The Quality Assurance Administrator is responsible for developing and implementing processes to evaluate and ensure delivery of quality services, conducting comprehensive reviews for compliance and quality clinical care and associated reporting requirements. The QA Administrator also develops processes for monitoring and oversight of service delivery, ensuring deviations from standards are identified and corrections implemented, and for providing comprehensive clinical consultative input and training to managerial and line staff.

TASKS

  1. Conducts audits and reviews to ensure that deviations from clinical practice standards are identified and effective corrections implemented; provides corrective training to correspond with standards of DSHS, SAMSHA, and other funding sources for clinical quality adherence and compliance.
  2. Independently prepares and provides reports regarding review results for supervisory and executive staff, Board of Trustees and PNAC.
  3. Develops and implements processes to ensure the quality, efficiency and safety of clinical services in accordance with the Centerís Quality Management Plan.
  4. Conducts administrative reviews of, and creates and revises, policies and procedures, at Center and unit levels to assure compliance with regulations and accreditation standards, and continuous quality improvement.  
  5. Conducts comprehensive reviews of service contracts and accreditation standards for compliance and to inform management processes.
  6. Utilizes database applications for complex reporting requirements and compliance, and to develop data gathering systems and reports to inform quality and efficiency of clinical services and administrative operations.
  7. Consults on ongoing basis with supervisors and staff to develop and implement unit specific quality initiatives and corrective actions integrated with Centerís clinical quality risk management and strategic business goals.
  8. Provides training and coaching on CQI processes and tools to unit managers and line staff.
  9. Develops and conducts staff training to meet identified needs of the agency.
  10. Other duties as assigned

 

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS 

  1. Current      Licensure in Texas as an LPC, LCSW or LMFT or minimum three (3) yearsí prior experience in quality management role to include accreditation lead and/or surveyor role.
  2. Masterís Degree in a behavioral science, nursing, hospital administration or a related field from accredited institution.  May be substituted by minimum of three (3) yearsí of experience as a supervisor in a clinical setting.      
  3. Four (4) yearsí related work experience in direct care service delivery, or comparable activities to include program or staff supervision role.
  4. Demonstrated advanced knowledge of clinical work processes to include requirements for compliance and model fidelity.
  5. Ability to identify discrepancies and develop practical solutions in a consultative fashion, and ability to compose correspondence and prepare complex reports with minimal supervision.
  6. Knowledge of DSHS, Medicaid, Medicare, and fund source and accreditation requirements for documentation and reimbursement.
  7. Analytical skills coupled with proficiency with standard Microsoft Office software and system databases. 
  8. Must maintain required credentials and mandatory training requirements to ensure compliance with all State regulations and  CHCS policies. 
  9. Must maintain a valid driverís license and automobile insurance coverage, be able to travel as needed, and be able to meet on a consistent basis the driving record requirements of the Companyís auto insurance carrier if you drive your vehicle during company business. 
  10. Must be able to meet the physical requirements to complete SAMA and CPR training including lifting up to 12 lbs. and supporting up to 55 lbs.; bending, stooping and getting on and off the floor without assistance.

 

PREFERRED 

  1. Prefer experience in direct care in a health care organization
  2. Experience with Texas MHMR system
  3. Experience with responsible role for CQI and/or accreditation (CARF, CHAP, JCAHO, etc.).
  4. Experience providing training
