Support Services Specialist III

Department: 2002 - CBH Outpatient Services
Location: San Antonio, TX
Work Schedule: Monday through Friday 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM

PURPOSE 

The Support Services Specialist III is responsible for ensuring authorizations are obtained, financial information and related benefit and reimbursement and demographic information is up to date for consumers served.


TASKS

  1. Ensure all prior authorization for services is obtained prior to the delivery of services 
  2. Ensure financial information is updated and entered into current Anasazi software system for consumers, verify benefits for outpatient services, and advise consumers of any change in their benefit status 
  3. Perform SSI/SSDI financial benefits screening and assist consumers who appear to be eligible for CHIP benefits or refer to appropriate staff 
  4. Produce and monitor reimbursement, scheduling and service reports 
  5. Confirm consumer appointments and determine financial eligibility; run medifax and distribute incoming/outgoing correspondence 
  6. Maintain and verify current demographics and insurance information, file all client medical records and schedule consumer appointments 
  7. Other duties as assigned

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS 

  1. High School Diploma or GED 
  2. Two to three (2 -3) years of clerical experience to include demonstrated billing and medical records experience 
  3. Proficiency with standard Microsoft Office applications and system databases 
  4. Must maintain required credentials and mandatory training requirements to ensure compliance with all State regulations and CHCS policies
  5. Must maintain a valid driverís license and automobile insurance coverage, be able to travel as needed, and be able to meet on a consistent basis the driving record requirements of the Companyís auto insurance carrier if you drive your vehicle during company business 
  6. Must be able to meet the physical requirements to complete SAMA and CPR training including lifting up to 12 lbs. and supporting up to 55 lbs.; bending, stooping and getting on and off the floor without assistance.
