LCDC II

Department: 3200 - OSAR
Location: San Antonio, TX
Work Schedule: M-W: 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.; Th: 8:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.

PURPOSE
The LCDC II will provide direct services for consumers, and complete associated documentation for the consumer and program.


TASKS

  1. Provide direct chemical dependency and related services to consumers
  2. Ensure clinical documentation is submitted in accordance with Center standards and meets all designated requirements
  3. Link and refer consumers presenting to clinic to appropriate services (internal/external)
  4. Comply with and participate in Quality Assurance and Quality Improvement processes, and with required contractual and Center policies and procedures
  5. Other duties as assigned

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS 

  1. High School Diploma or GED (Bachelorís degree may be required for certain specialized programs)
  2. Have and maintain Current Texas licensure as a Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor (LCDC) in good standing
  3. Proficiency with standard Microsoft Office applications and system databases  
  4. Must maintain required credentials and mandatory training requirements to ensure compliance with all State regulations and CHCS policies
  5. Must maintain a valid driverís license and automobile insurance coverage, be able to travel as needed, and be able to meet on a consistent basis the driving record requirements of the Companyís auto insurance carrier if you drive your vehicle during company business 
  6. Must be able to meet the physical requirements to complete SAMA and CPR training including lifting up to 12 lbs. and supporting up to 55 lbs.; bending, stooping and getting on and off the floor without assistance.

PREFERRED 

1.     Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university, preferably in a behavioral science

2.     Minimum of one year of full-time work experience in the social services or substance abuse services Professional experience working with consumers diagnosed with substance abuse and/or co-occurring disorders
