Front Desk/Receptionist

Department: 4418 - JD MH Courts
Location: San Antonio, TX
Work Schedule: Monday through Friday 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM

PURPOSE 

The Front desk/Receptionist is responsible for clinic front office support services. Obtaining demographic information that is up to date for consumers served. Maintaining and distributing patient schedules, creating patient charts and administrative support for the program.

TASKS 

  1. Provide coverage of main reception area and main telephone, taking and relaying messages.
  2. Greet clients, visitors and the general public in the main reception area and completes daily sign-in and out log.
  3. Responsible for ensuring consumer receive reminder calls for appts.
  4. Prepare and distribute daily scheduler reports and to appropriate staff.
  5. Create client charts on a daily basis five days before appointment.
  6. Run all required reports such as TMHP, Emedeon and IDX.
  7. Initiate hospital discharge assessment and schedule seven day follow up appointments as needed.
  8. Produce and monitor scheduling and service reports (e.g. EM Reconciliation, Scheduler report)
  9. Serve as backup to all Business Support Service positions.
  10. Other duties as assigned.

 MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

  1. High School Diploma or GED
  2. One to two (1 – 2) years’ of clerical experience
  3. Basic skill and ability to use computer software to include Microsoft Word, Excel and system databases, and data entry
  4. Must maintain required credentials and mandatory training requirements to ensure compliance with all State regulations and CHCS policies
  5. Must maintain a valid driver’s license and automobile insurance coverage, be able to travel as needed, and be able to meet on a consistent basis the driving record requirements of the Company’s auto insurance carrier if you drive your vehicle during company business
  6. Must be able to meet the physical requirements to complete SAMA and CPR training including lifting up to 12 lbs. and supporting up to 55 lbs.; bending, stooping and getting on and off the floor without assistance.
  7. Must have adequate mobility that requires frequent walking, standing, bending, stooping, kneeling, reaching (vertical and horizontal), using fingers, hands, feet, legs and torso in various care. The employee must be able to regularly lift and/or move up to 40 pounds and occasionally must lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. The employee must be able to occasionally transfer a consumer.

       1. Bilingual (English / Spanish)
