Department: 3230 Detox
Location: San Antonio, TX
Work Schedule: Monday to Friday M-F 6am-2pm Occasional Saturday 6am-2pm

The LCDC will provide direct services for consumers, and complete associated documentation for the consumer and program.


  1. Provide direct chemical dependency and related services to consumers
  2. Ensures clinical documentation is submitted in accordance with Center standards and meets all designated requirements
  3. Links and refers consumers presenting to clinic to appropriate services (internal/external)
  4. Comply with and participate in Quality Assurance and Quality Improvement processes, and with required contractual and Center policies and procedures
  5. Other duties as assigned


  1. High School Diploma or GED
  2. Have and maintain Current Texas licensure as a Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor (LCDC) in good standing           
  3. Proficiency with standard Microsoft Office applications and system databases  
  4. Must maintain required credentials and mandatory training requirements to ensure compliance with all State regulations and CHCS policies
  5. Must maintain a valid driverís license and automobile insurance coverage, be able to travel as needed, and be able to meet on a consistent basis the driving record requirements of the Companyís auto insurance carrier if you drive your vehicle during company business 
  6. Must be able to meet the physical requirements to complete SAMA and CPR training including lifting up to 12 lbs. and supporting up to 55 lbs.; bending, stooping and getting on and off the floor without assistance.


1.     Associates Degree

2.     Professional experience working with consumers diagnosed with substance abuse and co-occurring disorders

3.     Bilingual (English/Spanish)

4.     Minimum One (1 )year of full-time work experience in the social services or substance abuse services field
