Clinic Trainer II - Restoration Services (LCDC Required)

PURPOSE  

The Clinic Trainer II will provide clinical and administrative training for clinic staff, and complete associated documentation for the consumer and program. This position conducts audits and performance reviews; identifies corrective actions; and provides training for clinical quality improvements and compliance. This position will work with unit supervisors to ensure clinical supervision meets accreditation standards

 


TASKS

  1.  Provide clinical/administrative training to clinic staff on all aspects of Substance use program services; 
  2.  Ensure clinical documentation is submitted in accordance with Center standards, and meets all designated requirements (TAC and CARF)
  3.  Comply with and participate in Quality Assurance and Quality Improvement processes
  4.  Conduct monthly reviews of documentation for each program, in coordination with unit supervisors and other management staff.
  5.  Respond to identified training needs based on review findings.
  6. Conduct comprehensive reviews of service contracts, accreditation standards and new business lines for training requirements
  7. Informs and assists with implementation of new clinical initiatives
  8. Participates in audits and reviews to ensure that deviations from clinical training requirements are identified and effective corrections implemented
  9. Provides corrective training to correspond with CARF, HHSC, SAMSHA and other funding sources for clinical quality adherence and compliance
  10. Other duties as assigned

  

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS 

  1.  Current Licensure in Texas as an LCDC 
  2.  Two (2) years’ clinical experience working in the substance use field 
  3.  Previous Clinical Training experience in Community Healthcare, particularly in substance abuse and behavioral healthcare
  4.  Prior experience using CMBHS medical records system
  5.  Proficiency with standard Microsoft Office software and health care and billing systems, with experience in meeting documentation requirements including  timeliness and accuracy. 
  6. Must maintain required credentials and mandatory training requirements to ensure compliance with all State regulations, accreditation standards and CHCS policies. 
  7. Must maintain a valid driver’s license and automobile insurance coverage, be able to travel as needed, and be able to meet on a consistent basis the driving record requirements of the Company’s auto insurance carrier if you drive your vehicle during company business.  
  8. Must be able to meet the physical requirements to complete SAMA and CPR training including lifting up to 12 lbs. and supporting up to 55 lbs.; bending, stooping and getting on and off the floor without assistance.  
  9. Must have adequate mobility that requires frequent walking, standing, bending, stooping, kneeling, reaching (vertical and horizontal), using fingers, hands, feet, legs and torso in various care. The employee must be able to regularly lift and/or move up to 40 pounds and occasionally must lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. The employee must be able to occasionally transfer a consumer.  

PREFERRED  

  1. Experience working in CARF accredited behavioral health/substance use programs

  2. Master’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, Nursing or in a related behavioral health field

  3. Minimum three (3) year’ prior experience in quality management and/or clinical training role to include accreditation lead and /or surveyor role

  4. Bilingual (English / Spanish)
