Manager Talent Acquisition

Department: 8021 - Human Resources
Location: San Antonio, TX
Work Schedule: Monday through Friday 8:30 AM top 5:30 PM


The Manager/Talent Acquisition and On-boarding is responsible for the recruiting process, from requisition to on-boarding, and the coordination of locum/temporary staff contracts, credentialing and assignment, and associated applicant tracking administration, branding and community outreach.


  1. Manage the recruiting process to include: candidate application process, requisition to hire, position posting and advertising, application/resume reviews and submission to hiring managers, internal transfers, employee referrals, and candidate reviews and authorizations to extend offers.
  2. Provide guidance and support to employees and managers in recruitment, selection, interview process, reference checks and internal transfer process.
  3. Provide training to supervisors and managers regarding interviewing, selection, recruiting and related topics.  
  4. Manage the new hire pre-employment and on-boarding process to include: offers, new hire paperwork, pre-employment testing – drug tests/MVRs/background checks, and new employee orientation
  5. Perform and manage provider recruiting duties (Psychiatrists, Nurse Practitioners, Physician Assistants, Primary Care Physicians) and coordination of locums/temporary agency staff contracts, credentialing, and assignments.
  6. Effectively perform applicant tracking systems administration, recruitment and employment branding, and community recruiting outreach
  7. Manage job description development, coordination and management of the CHCS position matrix
  8. Compile and submit monthly Key HR Metrics report to executive leadership
  9. Manage the National Health Service Corps Program for CHCS
  10. Provide supervision to Recruiting & On-boarding Administrator and Talent Acquisition Specialists
  11. Other duties as assigned


  1. Bachelor’s degree in business, human resources, or related field or equivalent experience and five to seven (5 to 7) years’ recruiting experience, with minimum three (3) years’ recruiting management experience
  2. Must have five (5) years’ healthcare recruiting experience and three (3) years’ healthcare staffing experience
  3. Must have strong hands on applicant tracking administration experience, and proficiency with job board and social media recruiting systems
  4. Very professional verbal and written communication skills to include exceptional skill in professional public speaking on behalf of the organization to present employment opportunities and engage community resources for recruiting
  5. Exceptional skill in multi-tasking, service to internal customer, sense of urgency, and ability to identify best fit candidates and recommend hires in all position levels
  6. Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook), Boolean searches and internet sourcing and research.
  7. Must maintain required credentials and mandatory training requirements to ensure compliance with all State regulations and CHCS policies
  8. Must maintain a valid driver’s license and automobile insurance coverage, be able to travel as needed, and be able to meet on a consistent basis the driving record requirements of the Company’s auto insurance carrier if you drive your vehicle during company business 
  9. Must be able to meet the physical requirements to complete SAMA and CPR training including lifting up to 12 lbs. and supporting up to 55 lbs.; bending, stooping and getting on and off the floor without assistance.
