Community Guest Specialist - Full Time (Evenings)

Department: 9403 - PCY Dorms
Location: San Antonio, TX
Work Schedule: Sunday through Thursday 3:00 PM to 11:00 PM

PURPOSE 


The Community Guest Specialist will provide routine care, monitoring and linkages/referrals for consumers, and complete associated documentation for the consumer and program.

TASKS 

  1. Manage Guest Services functions including the Prospects Courtyard intake process; coordinate the daily operations of PCY Guest Services facility and functions
  2. Provide direct services to consumers. 
  3. Ensures documentation is submitted in accordance with Center standards and meets all designated requirements
  4. Link and refer consumers to appropriate services (internal/external) 
  5. Comply with and participate in Quality Assurance and Quality Improvement processes, and with required contractual and Center policies and procedures
  6. Responsible for interior and exterior maintenance and appearance 
  7. Other duties as assigned

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS 

  1. Most be proficient in English to include reading and writing
  2. One to two (1-2) years' full-time related experience working with homeless consumers
  3. Proficiency with standard Microsoft Office applications and system databases 
  4. Must maintain required credentials and mandatory training requirements to ensure compliance with all State regulations and CHCS policies
  5. Must maintain a valid driverís license and automobile insurance coverage, be able to travel as needed, and be able to meet on a consistent basis the driving record requirements of the Companyís auto insurance carrier if you drive your vehicle during company business 
  6. Must be able to meet the physical requirements to complete SAMA and CPR training including lifting up to 12 lbs. and supporting up to 55 lbs.; bending, stooping and getting on and off the floor without assistance.
  7. Must have adequate mobility that requires frequent walking, standing, bending, stooping, kneeling, reaching (vertical and horizontal), using fingers, hands, feet, legs and torso in various care. The employee must be able to regularly lift and/or move up to 40 pounds and occasionally must lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. The employee must be able to occasionally transfer a consumer.

PREFERRED 

       1. Bilingual (English/Spanish)

       2. Two (2) years' of work experience working with the homeless population
