Human Resources Generalist

Department: 8021 - Human Resources
Location: San Antonio, TX
Work Schedule: Monday through Friday 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM

PURPOSE 

Under the direction of the VP of People & Culture, would be responsible for operational human resources related duties. May also carry out responsibilities in some or all of the following People & Culture areas: license and certification renewals and updates, education compliance, and health update compliance as well as other monthly updates and audits as required.  

TASKS

  1. In consultation with People & Culture VP, provide guidance and support to employees and managers in employee relations, performance management, employment law and HR policy compliance matters Prepare HR reports as needed.
  2. Assist in coordination and participation of employee’s engagement activities in all wellness programs
  3. Prepare data and trend analysis as required, including submission of EEO for reporting.
  4. Report employee’s termination to the Office Attorney General
  5. Assist Sr. Generalists as needed
  6. Assist in all Center audits
  7. Assist with Maintain updated job descriptions.
  8. Other duties as assigned

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS 

  1. Seven plus (7+) years Human Resources experience in healthcare in lieu of Bachelor’s Degree
  2. Strong hands on experience performing all HR functional areas with very current employment and health care administration law knowledge
  3. Demonstrated HRIS reports experience required            
  4. Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and HRIS systems, including report writing and HR data analysis
  5. Must maintain required credentials and mandatory training requirements to ensure compliance with all State regulations and CHCS policies
  6. Must maintain a valid driver’s license and automobile insurance coverage, be able to travel as needed, and be able to meet on a consistent basis the driving record requirements of the Company’s auto insurance carrier if you drive your vehicle during company business 
  7. Must be able to meet the physical requirements to complete SAMA and CPR training including lifting up to 12 lbs. and supporting up to 55 lbs.; bending, stooping and getting on and off the floor without assistance.
  8. Must have adequate mobility that requires frequent walking, standing, bending, stooping, kneeling, reaching (vertical and horizontal), using fingers, hands, feet, legs and torso in various care. The employee must be able to regularly lift and/or move up to 20 pounds and occasionally must lift and/or move up to 40 pounds. The employee must be able to occasionally transfer a consumer.

PREFERRED 

  1. Bachelor degree
  2. PHR strongly preferred
