Behavorial Health Coordinator

Department: 4346 - DSHS-Early Onset Grant
Location: San Antonio, TX
Work Schedule: M-F: 8:30 a.m. - 5:30 p.m.

PURPOSE 

The Behavioral Health Coordinator will assist the Clinic Administrator with clinical supervision; provide written intervention strategies and clinical guidance for assigned clinical staff.   Will provide counseling and coordination services for consumers, and complete associated documentation for the consumer and program.


TASKS

  1. Provides mental health observation and consultation, and review and clinical approval of treatment plans
  2. Provides written intervention strategies (including positive behavior support plans) for persons served
  3. Coordinates and collaborates with Program contractors to identify specific resources available in the community
  4. Provides clinical guidance and input for assigned clinical staff (e.g. QMHPs, LPC-I      or other clinical interns)
  5. Provide counseling and coordination of consumers
  6. Other duties as assigned

 

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS 

  1. Licensed in Texas as a LPC, LCSW, or LMFT
  2. Master's degree in a behavioral health or human services field    
  3. Five (5) years’ of experience working with relevant population
  4. Proficiency with standard Microsoft Office software and system databases
  5. Must maintain required credentials and mandatory training requirements to ensure compliance with all State regulations and CHCS policies
  6. Must maintain a valid driver’s license and automobile insurance coverage, be able to travel as needed, and be able to meet on a consistent basis the driving record requirements of the Company’s auto insurance carrier if you drive your vehicle during company business 
  7. Must be able to meet the physical requirements to complete SAMA and CPR training including lifting up to 12 lbs. and supporting up to 55 lbs.; bending, stooping and getting on and off the floor without assistance.
  8. Must have adequate mobility that requires frequent walking, standing, bending, stooping, kneeling, reaching (vertical and horizontal), using fingers, hands, feet, legs and torso in various care. The employee must be able to regularly lift and/or move up to 40 pounds and occasionally must lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. The employee must be able to occasionally transfer a consumer.
