Program Director/LTC

Department: 1599 LTCS Administration
Location: San Antonio, TX
Work Schedule: Monday through Friday 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM

PURPOSE

The Program Director is responsible for providing leadership and oversight of all administrative and clinical aspects of assigned programs to include developing and implementing goals, plans and procedures, analyzing data, adhering to contracts, and developing and overseeing budgets for assigned division.


TASKS

  1. Leadership and oversight of all administrative and clinical aspects of assigned programs.
  2. Develop and implement goals, plans and procedures that will facilitate consumer access and quality of care, while focusing on cost efficiency and appropriate resource utilization.
  3. Responsible for all contracts and adherence/compliance/fidelity to them from a quality and cost perspective.
  4. Ensure high quality customer service standards are maintained program wide.
  5. Ensure facility’s appearance and safety standards are maintained.
  6. Analyze program data to develop and lead continuous quality improvement efforts for all assigned divisions through establishing and managing to best practices.
  7. Participate as part of long-term care leadership team for the program to develop, implement and meet quality of care and financial performance metrics, as well as employer and provider of choice standards.
  8. Assist in planning and implementation of new program initiatives.  
  9. Responsible for the development and oversight of unit budgets within assigned division, and all associated staff, to include hiring, developing, evaluating, coaching, problem resolution and separation of staff
  10. Other duties as assigned

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS 

  1. Bachelor's Degree in a behavioral health, human service or public/health administration
  2. Ten (10) years’ of recognized work in a human services or health care system, a minimum of five (5) years’ of which, must be in a supervisory/managerial capacity
  3. Administrative experience with supervision of personnel engaged in diverse administrative and clinical activities
  4. Previous experience working with the special needs population (e.g. IDD, geriatric, special education, residential programs), Pharmacotherapy programs, SAHMSA, DARS, DADS, DFPS, DSHS and other similar funders
  5. Proficiency with standard Microsoft Office applications and system databases  
  6. Must maintain required credentials and mandatory training requirements to ensure compliance with all State regulations and CHCS policies
  7. Must maintain a valid driver’s license and automobile insurance coverage, be able to travel as needed, and be able to meet on a consistent basis the driving record requirements of the Company’s auto insurance carrier if you drive your vehicle during company business 
  8. Must be able to meet the physical requirements to complete SAMA and CPR training including lifting up to 12 lbs. and supporting up to 55 lbs.; bending, stooping and getting on and off the floor without assistance.
  9. Must have adequate mobility that requires frequent walking, standing, bending, stooping, kneeling, reaching (vertical and horizontal), using fingers, hands, feet, legs and torso in various care. The employee must be able to regularly lift and/or move up to 40 pounds and occasionally must lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. The employee must be able to occasionally transfer a consumer.

 PREFERRED 

       1. Master's degree in a behavioral health, human service or public/health administration discipline

       2. Knowledge of long-term care standards

       3. Bilingual (English / Spanish)
