Cyber Security Analyst

Department: 8022 - Information Systems
Location: San Antonio, TX
Work Schedule: Monday through Friday 8:30 AM - 5:30 PM

PURPOSE 

Cyber Security Analyst is responsible for the real-time identification and alerting of information security events that pose an immediate risk to CHCS’s employees, consumers, shareholders, partners, or business operations. 

TASKS 

  1. Configuring and maintaining monitoring, correlation, and alerting solutions in order to ensure that only relevant security related issues are being identified and alerted upon.
  2. Correlating events being reported across multiple systems and areas of the network that identify a potential security incident, initiating the security incident response process to ensure that the situation is contained and addressed accordingly.
  3. Deploying security solution agents to systems and devices in order to ensure that all security and monitoring solutions are able to effectively monitor and report upon security events occurring within the environment.
  4. Designing and building custom scripts required to facilitate logging and alerting requirements.
  5. Performing other Enterprise Security & Support tasks as required and assigned. 

 MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

  1. Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, security risk management or health information mgmt. 
  2. Experience with managing Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) solutions
  3. Strong understanding of how attacks are performed against a system or network, and how to detect such attacks
  4. Advanced analytical skills
  5. Able to work collaboratively with minimal supervision
  6. Effectively escalates items as required and can influence decisions and actions without direct authority
  7. Able to learn new technologies and processes quickly
  8. Able to quickly adapt to changes in timelines and sequences
  9. Able to work off hours when required
  10.  Must maintain required credentials and mandatory training requirements to ensure compliance with all State regulations and CHCS policies
  11. Must maintain a valid driver’s license and automobile insurance coverage, be able to travel as needed, and be able to meet on a consistent basis the driving record requirements of the Company’s auto insurance carrier if you drive your vehicle during company business

PREFERRED 

  1. CISSP, CEH certification preferred
